Innovation Roadshow “Technology Express” Made its Début
On Oct. 18, 2016, the first Technology Express was successfully held in Beijing, China focusing on Bio-medicine. “Technology Express” is an innovation roadshow, aiming at matching technology supplies from universities, research institutes, etc. and industrial needs. More than 600 audiences from bio-medical enterprises, bio-medical investors, high-tech zones and tech-trans organizations attended the roadshow.
Technology Express is sponsored by Torch High Technology Industry Development Center, Ministry of Science & Technology, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, etc. These two sponsors ensure the good quality of both technologies and audiences.
As one leading player in the field of technology transfer, Coway co-organized this roadshow. In this Technology Express, Coway collected near 200 technologies which were recommended by top universities and research institutes all over China like Tsinghua University, Peking University and Chinese Academy of Sciences, and well showed industry-potential of Chinese academy in bio-medicine. Among these technologies, based on the criteria of technological competitive, mature, industrialization-promising and positive responses from enterprises and investors, Coway selected 11 projects to show on the stage and 22 more projects to display in the hall.
Also, as a professional tech-transcompany with years of experiencing in commercializing technology, Coway helped project holders who were mostly researchers upgrade their technology presentations into business plans. Instead of focusing too much on technology, project holders’ presentations were designed to become commercialized and easier to understand for audiences. In this way, the communication between academy and industry could be built up. Audiences from industry would see the value of the technology from their presentation.
The 11 project holders on stage presented their technologies one by one. After each presentation, 14 experts would make their comments and raise questions about each project. Experts consisted of renowned entrepreneurs, investors and scholars. Project Holders interacted with experts actively and some of them agreed to discuss and keep contact after the show. “This is the highest level of roadshow I’ve ever seen,” said one project holder from National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, after receiving a tough question from expert.
This roadshow received favorable comments from project holders and audiences, who are all looking forward to the upcoming events of “Technology Express”. This “Technology Express” will drive to different cities, focusing on different areas in the near future.
