Astaxanthin
Astaxanthin is the most powerful antioxidant ever discovered in nature and its antioxidant activity far exceeds that of existing antioxidants. Its ability to scavenge free radicals is 1,000 times greater than natural VE, 10 times greater than natural beta-carotene, 17 times greater than grape seed, 200 times greater than luteinising hormone, 150 times greater than proanthocyanidin OPC, 60 times greater than coenzyme Q10, 200 times greater than tea polyphenols and 7 times greater than lycopene. Only algae and yeasts and bacteria etc. can produce natural astaxanthin, but higher animals cannot convert this chemical structure.
